Welcome to my blog! This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and I hope whoever reads it will find it useful… and maybe even occasionally entertaining.
There are so many blogs that I’ve found interesting, helpful, or have just plain saved by bacon over the years. I cannot even begin to count the number of times I’ve been looking for some sort of recommendation or technical solution, and thankfully someone not only figured it out but also took the time to explain it online. In the spirit of paying it forward, I hope to provide information about what I’ve learned and experienced on a regular basis.
In addition to technical solutions and recommendations, I also plan to write about new technologies that I’m testing and exploring. Lately I’ve been evaluating Apple Watch apps for use in higher education. I’m also looking for a decent replacement for myBrainshark since it was discontinued over the summer. And it’s getting close to the Winter and Spring semesters here at West Chester University, so there will be lots of time devoted towards helping the faculty prepare their online courses. You never know what’s going to pop up on a daily basis, which is one of the things I like about my line of work. I’ll probably write an occasional opinion piece, but I don’t see that becoming the primary focus of this site.
Feel free to chime in at any time – I always enjoy hearing from someone who can make a positive contribution to the conversation.
