Ten Ways Teachers Tame Twitter

I’m very excited to announce that my first book, Ten Ways Teachers Tame Twitter, is now available on iBooks for free.

Here’s how it’s described on the iBooks Store:

This book looks at how university faculty and graduate students have embraced Twitter to engage their students both in and out of the classroom, collect research data, and communicate and collaborate with individuals who have similar interests from around the world. Third-party tools are also discussed, and additional resources are provided for those wanting to further explore these methods. Examples were collected from a variety of leading higher education institutions, including Johns Hopkins University, MIT, Penn State, University of Arizona, and UCLA.

There are several people who’ve helped out in various ways over the course of this 6+ month project that I’d like to thank:

  • Stephanie Taitano, for the devising the original concept and providing a phone interview for one of the sections
  • Rui Li, for allowing me to use work time to learn iBooks Author
  • Laurie Drumm, for countless hours of proofreading and editing
  • The University of Delaware Office of Communications and Public Affairs, for granting permission to use their video
  • Kim Smith and Monica Rankin, also for granting permission to use their video
  • Maria Mejia, for granting permission to use her photo
  • Tom Pantazes, for being a final proofreader
